Press Release

Tokyo, May 27, 2021 – ZIPAIR Tokyo today announced the decision to restart scheduled service between Tokyo Narita and Honolulu on July 21 and will initially operate one flight per week through October 28, 2021. For added convenience, the carrier plans to participate in Hawaii`s Pre-Clearance program, which allows travelers to bypass the mandatory airport screening procedure when arriving in Honolulu, providing customers added peace of mind during their summer travel plans. In order to provide a safe and secure travel experience, ZIPAIR continues to strengthen key measures against COVID-19 and currently offers a complimentary ZIPAIR Care Kit (includes face mask and antibacterial hand wipes) upon boarding the aircraft. In addition to thoroughly disinfecting the aircraft cabin, the carrier will strengthen its commitment by applying an antiviral and antibacterial coating inside the aircraft this summer, which is known to effectively inactivate viruses. The procedure will be completed prior to the restart of the Honolulu route. ZIPAIR will also offer a fee-based pre-travel COVID-19 testing option through a facility approved by the State of Hawaii.
