ZIPAIR and Ron Herman Form Partnership to Promote Sustainability Announces Joint Social Contribution Initiatives

JOINT RELEASE Tokyo, April 13, 2023 – ZIPAIR Tokyo and The SAZABY LEAGUE, a company representing the Ron Herman brand in Japan, today announced their partnership to proactively promote a more sustainable lifestyle. Since its establishment, ZIPAIR has strived to set the standard as the New Basic Airline. The company has remained committed to sustainability and recently celebrated the launch of its first carbon neutral flight between Tokyo Narita=Honolulu in April 2023 becoming the first international airline to offset its emissions on every flight to/from Honolulu throughout the year. As sustainable efforts conducted by Ron Herman resonated well with ZIPAIR, the two companies decided to launch the partnership on May 8. Through this partnership, ZIPAIR and Ron Herman will lead efforts to tackle environmental issues, such as climate change, in hopes to inspire more individuals to work together to help protect the planet. Details on Partnership to Preserve a Greener Planet - Become active in Hawaii to spur discussions for individuals to be more environmentally aware about global issues, including marine pollution and to avoid introducing exotic species to the island. Actively Communicate the Importance of Sustainable Efforts - Operate aircraft featuring the Ron Herman livery, including special headrest covers on inflight seats, introduce sustainable initiatives presented by both companies through the inflight entertainment system, and promote key efforts via social media and at Ron Herman stores in Japan and overseas. Offering Eco-friendly Inflight Products - The two companies will produce goods using environmentally friendly materials to promote a greener planet. By offering ethical and sustainable goods on ZIPAIR`s carbon neutral flights to/from Honolulu, customer awareness is expected to increase on important environmental issues.
